Beginners will appreciate this spot: it's protected from most swell, and a westerly wind usually brings clean water. Expect anywhere from waist-deep water to around 7 m at high tide. The pillars and metal structures create shadows and cover that attract baardman, zebra and banded galjoen, while patient divers may encounter heavyweight musselcracker & white steenbras. Currents are mild and shark encounters are uncommon, adding to its reputation as a forgiving spot.

Hazards Boat and jetski traffic is a considerable risk - tow a large bright float. Otherwise very safe: sheltered, minimal current, sharks very scarce
