1. Acceptable use

DiveFree is a content site for freediving and spearfishing in South Africa. You're welcome to read, share and reference what we publish. Don't scrape the site, don't republish chunks of it without attribution, and don't use it in a way that disrupts other visitors.

2. Ownership of content

All content on this site - photography, text, graphics, logos, dive records and species data - is owned by DiveFree or used with permission. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not reproduce, distribute or use the content commercially without our written consent.

Dive-spot, MPA and bag-limit information is compiled from public sources for general reference only. Always check current regulations with the relevant authority before diving or fishing.

3. No warranty on external links and information

The site links to third-party resources (maps, government publications, weather feeds). We don't control those sites and don't warrant their content. Spearfishing and freediving carry inherent risk; nothing on this site is a substitute for proper training, situational judgement and current local conditions.

4. Membership purchases and refunds

Membership is a once-off payment that unlocks the members-only content - the full dive map, sonar and depth layers, and the members-only journal - on your account, for as long as the site operates. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

Payments are processed by Paystack on their secure payment page. We never see your card or banking details. Access is granted automatically the moment your payment is confirmed.

Purchases are not refundable. Membership gives immediate access to the full members-only content, so once access has been granted the purchase can't be undone. If something goes wrong - you were charged twice, or you paid and your account didn't unlock - email [email protected] with your order reference and we'll put it right.

Membership attaches to your account and is not transferable. If you delete your account, the membership lapses with it and is not refunded.

5. Changes and contact

These terms are governed by South African law. We may update them; the current version is always at divefree.co.za/terms. For anything else, email [email protected] or use the contact form.
