The dive site Seal Island is an offshore site in the northern False Bay, near Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. This is a place you go to see Great White sharks. S34°08.25’ E018°34.95’ This site is not in a Marine Protected Area (2004). The island and offshore reefs are granite of the Peninsula pluton, and have the familiar rounded look of other similar outcrops. Geology: Late Pre-Cambrian granite of the Peninsula pluton.
