A slender, hard-fighting billfish of the Indo-Pacific that reaches nearly three metres, with occasional stragglers caught off Cape Town.

The striped marlin is the slimmest of the marlins, its body six to eight times as long as it is deep. It reaches about 2.9 m and 230 kg.

Primarily an Indo-Pacific fish and a renowned game species, a few have even been caught off Cape Town.
