The smalltooth jobfish is an elongate, streamlined snapper coloured in pinks and reds, with the small teeth and forked tail typical of the deepwater jobfishes.
It is a fish of deeper reef slopes and drop-offs in the Indo-Pacific, reaching into South African waters. A sought-after dropline and deepwater target with excellent eating quality.
