A spotted, streamlined mackerel of the Natal coast, smaller and more delicately marked than its king mackerel cousin.

Habitat: Coastal pelagic, off Natal

The queen mackerel is a slim, fast-swimming mackerel recorded from the waters off Natal. Like other members of its group it is a coastal pelagic predator, prized by anglers for its speed and clean lines.
