The green jobfish is a robust, elongate snapper coloured dark green, bluish or grey-blue. It reaches 100 cm, making it one of the larger jobfishes.
A tropical Indo-Pacific species, it is caught only occasionally off Natal, with one stray recorded as far south as Knysna. It is a strong, free-swimming reef hunter and a hard-fighting sportfish where it turns up.
